Driving and Operator Training on 3.4C (15/07/24)

Since talking delivery of the 3.4C Tanker last Thursday morning, we have been busy getting used to the appliance. We were fortunate to have CFA Instructor Richard Cromb attend the station on Thursday night to take the available members through the specifics of the vehicle's operational features, B Class Foam set up, and pre-drive inspection.

Most of our Code 1 drivers have done a conversion drive to be endorsed on the larger appliance. The drive is a set drive around the Triangle including around Mt Gordon into Marysville and then over Sugarloaf Peak to expose drivers to the typical conditions they will experience in our patch. Eight of our drivers are now endorsed on the vehicle.

We anticipate the vehicle will be placed in service in the next couple of days.
