Second load of Containers go to Eildon (11/01/2024)
This afternoon we made our second delivery of eligible containers to the CDS depot at Eildon. We are very grateful to Jason and the team at Nanny Jan's Emporium for making special arrangements to accommodate this delivery, despite being at capacity. Jason will process these containers progressively over the next week or so and direct the proceeds to the new Buxton 3711 Community fund.
Our previous delivery resulted in a count in excess of 3,000 items.
Containers dropped off at the station are now being sorted into crushed cans, which will continue to go to Kilsyth, and eligible containers that will go to Eildon. This means we are supporting a local enterprise and benefiting our entire community. The new fund, proposed by the brigade, will benefit local volunteer groups such as the Buxton Memorial Hall, Buxton Open Spaces Committee, Buxton Primary School as well as the brigade.
If you want to take containers directly to Eildon, you simply need to tell Jason they are for Buxton Fire Brigade or Buxton 3711 Community and he will do the rest - no need to use an App. If you want to support us at other locations, you can find Buxton 3711 Community listed as an approved Donation Partner on each of the three CDS mobile Apps.
