Triangle Juniors visit Marysville SES (29/05/2024)
Inspired by Wear Orange Wednesday last week, this evening the Triangle Juniors ventured over to Marysville to visit our local Vic State Emergency Service. Members of the SES gave a presentation about the tasks undertaken by our local SES volunteers followed by a look over the Rescue vehicle. With somewhat chilly conditions, the Juniors were shown how to conduct a Line Search.
Each year, VicSES units celebrate Wear Orange Wednesday to promote the important services provided by SES members. It is a national day of thanks to the thousands of SES volunteers who serve their communities 24 hours a day, seven days a week through storms, floods, road crash rescues, and so much more.
The Juniors were very grateful for the time taken to host them and thanked the SES Marysville Unit members.
Triangle Juniors meet on Wednesday evenings from 6:30pm fortnightly during school terms. Dates are published in the Triangle News.
