Gazebo gets some finishing touches (01/03/2024)

With the main construction completed late last year, we have been busy with the little things needed to finish the gazebo area.

Last week, Josh and Stuart from E-Tec - Electrical Technology ran power to the gazebo giving us a powerpoint and lights switched from the station. Yesterday, Chris and the team from Alexandra Stainless installed a safety rail to the edge of the concrete slab.

An additional rail (salvaged from the path near the old radio tower) will be installed along the other side of the slab to finish off the edge protection. This leaves some landscaping work to be completed by brigade members, which is currently scheduled for a working bee in early April.

The gazebo, along with the flagpoles, has been funded from brigade funds and a generous grant provided, through the Buxton Progress Association, by Foundation Murrindindi. We are very grateful to the BPA and Foundation, along with the various local trades, that have supported us along this journey.
