Containers loaded up for Delivery (17/08/24)

Members of the Brigade and Buxton Progress Association gathered at the Buxton Hotel to load up containers put aside by Linda, and her team, for the Buxton 3711 Community Fund.

With a bale of bottles and another bale of aluminium cans loaded on the trailer, the guys relocated to the fire station to continue loading up for a load of containers to take over to Eildon tomorrow.

The station collection point is well supported and continues to be managed by Brigade members in support of the community fund. We are grateful to everyone for their help in segregating containers by type. Cans in the create, bottles in tubs, and plastics into the rubbish bins.

While loading up, a couple of locals dropped in with a bale of their own full of cans crushed before the CDS started; which we transferred to one of our bales for transport to Kilsyth along with other pre-CDS crushed cans. They then delivered an empty bale to a neighbour and brought back his full bale of containers. Fantastic!
