Another Recruit Qualified to Respond (07/07/24)

This afternoon, in very brisk conditions, one of our recent recruits completed his GFF practical assessment to become qualified as a Bushfire Firefighter.

Starting around midday, with the fog lifting and a clear blue sky starting to show, the air temperature was still sitting around 2°C warranting use of Cold Climate jackets and Structural ensemble. At completion of the practical assessment the temperature had climbed a mere 3°C.

Today's assessment session means we have two graduates from the recent General Firefighter course run out of our station. A total of eight new Firefighters for Alexandra Group.
