Shannon Frith: Awards Presentations (20/04/2024)
CFA Service Award: 25 years
Shanon Frith was recognised for 25 years of service to CFA. He joined CFA as a Junior at Bonnie Doon in March 1996. He then moved to Lilydale Fire Brigade as a Junior but soon advanced to the Senior brigade in July 1998.
In 2004, he transferred to Badger Creek before coming to Buxton in 2011 and was our 1st Lieutenant from 2012 to August 2015 when he became Captain.
Shanon stood down as Captain in April 2014 for personal reasons. He stepped in to the 3rd Lieutenant’s role briefly from March 2021 to June 2022 to fill a gap until the next scheduled elections.
He is currently the Alexandra Group Officer and was a Deputy Group Officer.
Shanon holds the National Emergency Medal for both the 2009 Bushfires and the 2019/2020 Fires. He was awarded the National Medal in 2019.
