Buxton's Flagpoles are flying proudly illuminated (10/07/2021)
Thanks to the work of some very dedicated members of our small community, the electrical work associated with the new flagpoles at the Buxton Memorial Hall was completed this afternoon and, as of tonight, the new flags are flying illuminated from below.
Earlier in the week, the dedication plaque was installed at the base of the flagpoles. The stone on which the plaque is mounted was sourced from a local farm courtesy of a brigade member. The new flagpoles are dedicated to those men and women from the Buxton area who have served in conflicts and peacekeeping to preserve freedom and human rights worldwide.
A number of our brigade members have been helping the Buxton Progress Association with the new flagpoles and associated work to improve the garden in front of the hall. Well done to everyone.
