Community Christmas Party (2021)
After many weeks of planning and, to be honest, a lot of discussion around Covid and whether our traditional annual party would even be possible, the weather came good today and everyone had a great time at the annual Buxton Community Christmas Party.
Congratulations to the team from the Buxton Progress Association, Buxton Reserves Committee and the Buxton Fire Brigade who set about to plan and conduct our annual end-of-year get together. Thanks to Carmel, Peter and Andy for co-ordinating the event. Thanks to all the various members from each of the three community groups who have helped, either today or leading up to today, to make the party a success.
There was plenty for the children to do with a scavenger hunt, peel the apple, toss the frizby and a very popular Pinata to open up; many hands got the goodies.
Santa arrived towards the end of the day on the back of Buxton Tanker 2 and he was greeted by many hands; helping him to get off the fire truck. Equally, he was giving a few helping hands to get back up on the truck at the end.
A great day and thanks to everyone who came along; we trust it was a good day.
